I REALLY LIKE COLDPLAY
:)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Caught some terrible germ.
I've been coughing for more than a month!
It is pretty much as effortless as breathing.
Oh joy.

The upside: ABS training!

My dearest parents.

BYE!

June 15, 2009

I've been wanting to post a little something for some while.
However, whenever i get to the 'create a post' page,
i just stare at it for a while then leave it altogether.
No longer do i have the ability to conjure up twaddle.
Brain Rot, that's what they call it in the army.
I now have the IQ of a moth. Great.

On that bombshell, it's BLOCK LEAVE!
Well, other than the guard duty i had on the first two days,
block leave is going way well.

Finally resumed my driving.
Instructor says i have good car control,
but i'm also terribly reckless!
Gonna fail my practical test in August i guess.
Yikes..

Alright, ending here.
Gonna continue with my snacking.
I'm hungry 24/7 now. Thanks you SAF.
And i have a biblical craving for barbecued food.

Getting kidnapped by the army to be
reprogramed from I Live My Own Life 3.0
to Chao Recruit 3.24b.

Chao Recruit 3.24b comes standard with Yes Sir 4.0,
You Don't Need Your Mother To Do Your Laundry 2.2 and
Sergeant Is King Unreleased 1.0.

Probably will uninstall

Universal bummer 9.1
Leisure Lifestyle 5.0
Relax 2.0
Sleep late Wake Up Later 1.6
Do As You Like 7.0 w/ service pack 8.
Hair 1.0

Note: Exercise V0.1 Beta and Obedience V2.4 will be upgraded significantly.

All accessories and ridiculous commands included.

Alright, enough of my nonsense.
Yes, i'm going to SERVE the nation.
New chapter of my life and blablabla...

Somehow, i'm feeling rather indifferent to the whole NS thing.
Perhaps it hasn't really sunk in yet,
or i'm just really (acting) brave.
Truth is, think at least, i really don't care.
I'm so resigned to it that i got my head shaven bare
just now and i didn't even twitched an inch.
And no, no caps for me cause it makes no difference.

Shall see tomorrow.

Looking back at the long long break.
My God, it was epic eh?

The holiday with friends, the cooking,
the swimming, the job as a relief teacher.....
Shopping alone, going down to a cafe just to read a book.

I found independence and really liked it.
Although i did miss out some stuff,
considering my excellent record of broken resolutions,
i did pretty well.

A break well spent.

April 01, 2009

It has been an aeon, F1 has finally resumed!
wheewheewhee.. and what a race it was..

Real happy for Brawn GP
having finished first and second.
Yet, it's quite unsettling to see a
total inversion of the rankings.
Kinda makes F1 look like a
sport played at a circus.

It appears that Honda has shot
themselves in both feet with one bullet.
Honda executives must be eating their
shoes with their sushi for dinner.
Probably drinking sake out of their socks too.
The next Honda's shareholder's AGM
will probably be a scene of them doing
the traditional Japanese apologetic bow.
Maybe a little seppuku even.

Just by the way, if you don't follow F1,
Team Honda has always been at the
bottom for previous seasons.
Due to the financial crisis,
Honda pulled out of F1
sometime during the season break.
Brawn GP barely emerged out of the
Honda team after they left.

Soo.. this season's car of Brawn GP,
that also happened to win the first 2 positions
in the very first race, has been developed
totally with Honda's money.
And with the pull out, i believe a deal was struck
to finance Brawn GP's current season with
Honda's MONEY!!

How's that for being the ultimate loser.
Honda cars all over the world
are probably sulking in shame
for having such a foolish maker.
My dad recently bought a Honda,
i guess the high beam won't be working
for some time.

On the topic of cars...
My first practical lesson is TOMORROW!
Like finally.. freakishly excited.
Gotta, drag my lazy bum to Eunos MRT.
As much as i want to,
i hope he doesn't get me driving right away
like some instructors do.
In typical Eunos evening traffic,
i'll most likely freak and forfeit my life,
taking the instructor along too for being so irresponsible.

My brother had 8 lessons and he passed first time,
i plan to break that record! Hahahas, wish me luck.

Bye.

MY CHARGER!!
The part that allowed me to
twirl the messy wires around BROKE!
STUPID.. stupid *ahem* err, starbucks chair.

IMBECILIC act no. 2.

I got a squirt of soap in my left eye while showering. IT'S REALLY REALLY PAINFUL! It so happen that the nozzle got clogged up by SOLIDIFIED SOAP! Yes, apparently you can make a bar of soap by leaving liquid soap exposed to a million moles of air. So anyway, the clog wasn't that cloggy. A small aperture was left at the side. Allowed soapy acid to JET right into my eye! The bottle gets full marks for marksmanship. Can't stop blinking now.. At least if i go blind, i would have a really clean left eye right? Just wondering, if you left the soap in your eye, would you form a bubble each time you blinked? Hahas. As nitwit as i am in this CALAMITY, do note that they do leave on the bottle a health and safety warning instructing what to do when it gets into your eyes. It appears that i'm not the only moron.

IMBECILIC act no. 3

Starworld showed the exact same episode of American Idol back-to-back! Actually i don't quite mind cause this season of AI ain't that bad. I could probably watch it 4 times back-to-back before i would watch the normal programming over at channel 5. The shows over at channel 5 are just stupid. The locally produced ones especially! Do all the producers and writers have a civil service pass? What's up with all the governmental messages.. channel 8 isn't any much better.

The only sign of intelligence today
came from a bloke all the way in UK.
His name is Jeremy Clarkson and i bought his book.

Quote "Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you."

Alright, time to get on with my NUS application..
Should i put architecture as first or second choice?
hmmmmm....

Decided to blog a little before
i start on my university admission essay.
A little bluff just so i might get
a better sounding essay out after this. Psychological.
Plus i have not blogged for quite sometime eh?

Writing this out in Starbucks actually.
Just needed a little time away from home.
Plus.., needed to terrorize the spinach quiche
and of course the usual establishment of Java Chip.

Back from the cruise.
Really, Really worth it.
So those of you whose parents work for SIA,
have flown to all types of exotic locations
because it's just stupid to fly to KL on our yearly free ticket,
please, please do try the most basic mode of transport,
a bigbig boat.

All excited and ready to go.

Behold...

The first few hours were already worth the cost of the cruise for a first timer.
The pictures will do the talking.

Our take on the titanic pose.

Vivo!

Never knew a building like this existed in Singapore.

This bridge too.

Perfect storm for the start of our Vacation.

Singapore does some serious contribution to global warming.

Makan 1: Chinese Restaurant.

Makan 2: BUFFET.

Makan 3: Buffet AGAIN!

Kung Fu Chaos

What the crap!

Kung Fu Chaos 2

Our BUNK!

Then there's Penang.
All we did was to visit a modern shopping centre.. NICE!
Well, time was really short.
I didn't do much shopping, much to my friends' amusement.
Gleefully, i still spent more than $50 (not RM, SING!)
on a Java Chip, a REALLY cheap Tee
and a notthatexpensive music box
that went "ting ting ting" to the tune of
What A Wonderful World.

Little boats to get us to shore.

Oh, books there were really cheap!
Usually i wouldn't give a penny to know such stuff.
During this holiday period though, i'm a changed man!
I've read 3 and a half books, starting on another one.
That would have taken me 10 normal years to complete.
And No, they weren't thin nor big print!

More thrilling stuff occurred en-route to PHUKET!
pictures pictures pictures picturespictures.

The theater! Have to say, the performances were not bad!

PHUKET.
Still as beautiful as ever, still wanna live there.
activity rush activity rush activities rushrushrush.
Did the go-kart, the all-terrain-vehicle that handled like a truck,
andandand... the JET SKI.!
We actually went all the way to the ship.
Absconding with the caffeinated toy was just a taunt away.

The Island.

First guy on the left in red was our guild.

This machine spits elephant dunk on you.

The roads are really pretty scary.

Emo-ing at its very best.

They have countdown timers for their green lights!

See the bigbig boat out to shore?

weirdest picture!

Back on the ship, ate, went for some drinks.
Stirred but not shaken.

Formal gala dinner.

The first dish.

The last.. Was too busy eating at the middle.

After the drinks.. I have good blood circulation eh?
And no, we weren't drunk!
Although, Jon did enter the buffet for supper
and exclaimed "BREAKFAST!" Hahahahas..
An honest mistake. A real funny one!

Never underestimate eight guys food intake.

Pretending that wasn't his eleventh plate.

East meets west. Prata and pancakes.

We had a really rough pillow fight kinda thing.

All started when jon hogged 3 pillows! hahahas.

Then some more eating and stuffing.

Guilty as charged.

u

I have no idea what they're doing.

More thrilling stuff..
And we were back in Singapore.
Really didn't miss the small red dot.

There's a small little island outta nowhere.

Sentosa's to the right.

Ya, i know... Never knew sentosa had such cool stuff huh?

Back home. boo.

Oh crap, i've got to go meet the rest now.
I HAVE NOT WRITTEN MY ESSAY!
Looks like another blog entry will be coming soon.

Bye!
(My charger is stuck at the table behind me, now occupied by two ladies from the People's Republic Of China. Hope they speak English.)

Resultsiee...

Guess it's okay overall,
pretty disappointed for that one subject,
but, totally surprised at another!
I think they got the two mixed up! Hahahas.
Enough to get me into a Uni and for that, i'm glad.

NUSNTUNUSNTUNUSNTUNUSNTU..

I really have no idea.
I have a feeling that my choice of course will depend on the Uni i choose to go to.
And yes, i know i'm doing it wrong and that it is so stupid of me.
Truth is, i really have no precise preference among my narrowed down choices,
they all sound so boring to me..
It's like asking me to choose between butter and margarine!
What's the difference? I hate them both by the way. Haha!
My sister highly discourages the one course that i'm pretty interested in,
and i really value her opinion.

A little thinking, a little praying, a little talking, hearing, and following.
Hopefully, it would be enough to make up my mind.

Nice to have a little cruise to think about it huh..

Open ocean to clear your mind,
Limitless starlight to light your path,
Yards of wooden flooring to comfort your thoughts,
Awesome company to partake in wisdom.

I think i would make up by mind by the time i get back!
Aawwesomee... Goodnight!

March 05, 2009

It is going to be such a scary day tommmooorrrrowww!
I wish i can wear a storm trooper mask to school,
so no one will see my chattering teeth or hear my shivering voice.
Wonder who gave me that stupid idea.

Tomorrow's gonna test us quite a bit huh..
Our ability to keep our humility or accept failure. Our relationships with our friends in supporting or being supported. Our wisdom to use the right words to comfort or to assure. Our maturity in dealing with success or disappointment. Our resilience to hold on to whatever we hold dear be it favourable or dismay. And lastly, our faith, that whatever happens, happens for a reason.

It's unfortunate that this test of our human spirit, possible the most relevant, the most important of them all never gets graded and printed on a piece of paper that i can show off.

Tomorrow's a big day.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own. -The awesome Bible.

Shall pray real hard for everyone tonight.
Goodnight!

March 01, 2009

I'm feeling rather different today.
Rather lost i must say.
As if half in a dream,
half in the deep blue sea.

A little disorientated,
a little misplaced.
Can't really describe it.
Can't really tell what it is.

Like i'm standing still,
and the world just revolves around me.

Maybe i should just walk in the other direction.
Maybe i'll find my way.

Can't believe this sounds like a poem.
Can't remember why i wrote it as one.
A little exaggeration perhaps,
just so i can fit it as one.

Can't find my way today. Weird.

I remember when i was young,
i loved to spin round and round on my chair.
Then standing up quickly to feel the world
tilt and turn below my feet.
I was a junkie for dizziness. Haha!
How else more random can this be!

I guess it's the impending doom of the A level results that's screwing my up today!

My desire for a DSLR-camera is BACK!! Ohnoo..

Okay, i shall stop the randomness and end right here.
BYEE!

February 24, 2009

I just gained my provisional driving licence but,
i misplaced my baby face ez-link card. Upsetting!
we gain some and we lose some! How appropriate.
Time to find a driving instructor!!

I got bloody pissed with a kid at school today.
His impertinence made me shout so loud,
i hope his ears are still ringing!

I doubt teaching is the thing for me.
I've only worked for like 15 days?
The pay is excellent, working hours are great.
I had only 5 periods (2andahalfhours) today,
YET i lost my cool at a single stupid kid!
Thing is, I'm pretty jaded already.

I hope the working world isn't like this.
Please, please let there be that one job that i really enjoy.
Oh, and i thought i would be immune to office politics!
Bitchy teachers.. shoo off! I like the way i handle the kids.

I have to say though, working is still easier than studying!
I just reminded myself of A level results! Eww..
Bye!
